Role Purpose
Betknowmore UK has seen substantial growth over the past couple of years, and as our team continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join the team. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Head of Operations facilitate the smooth running of our human resources function, including onboarding new employees, managing the HR systems and assisting with some aspects of payroll and employee benefits.
Whilst specific legal training is not required, solid HR legal knowledge will be advantageous. Betknowmore UK will invest in the candidate’s professional and personal development, including pathways for career progression within the charity.
This role would suit someone keen to develop their functional expertise in HR and gain exposure to the breadth of operational functions
This is a part-time position offering flexible, remote-working for the ideal candidate.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the HR management system, inc. maintaining up to date employee records (Appogee HR system )
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll instruction for accountants
- Lead on recruitment and induction of new joiners and staff leavers
- Assist with compliance of legal policy frameworks related to employment and health and safety
- Provide HR guidance and support to employees on employee relations and workplace policies
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR practices and procedures
- Assist in management of the policy update process as well as be first port of call on policy issues.
- Support and coordinate staff training, working closely with line managers to ensure personal development plans are in place for all team members.
- Train new staff on systems and procedures
- Manage HR inbox
- Serve as first point of contact for HR related matters, salaries, pensions and benefits etc.

Qualifications or Relevant Experience
- •Proven track record in a generalist HR role, no formal qualifications required
Essential Experience
- Experience working in the human resources function of a growing charitable organisation.
- Experience in building relationships internally and externally.
- Experience in coordinating targeted recruitment and selection campaigns aligned with organisational objectives.
